Rudi, our dispenser, has more than 20 years’ experience in both small and large opticians’ practices. He started on the manufacturing side before moving into dispensing at high street opticians, including independent and multiple.

His background in optical management and focus on providing excellent customer service has led Rudi to establish his own independent opticians’ practice. He has brought all the best bits of his previous optical experience together to build Portobello Eyecare.

Rudi has paired up with a highly professional and experienced optometrist to deliver expert, comprehensive eye examinations. Their commitment to eye care and customer care matches Rudi’s and you can be assured of a superior and reassuring experience every time you visit Portobello Eyecare.

Vicky, Rudi’s wife, is also a key part the business, and you will meet her when you book your appointment. Rudi and Vicky have strong family links to West Kingsdown and have lived in the village since childhood. They now live there with their own children as well as having extended family there too. Being part of such a community is important to Rudi and Vicky, and they want Portobello Eyecare to be the local go-to for all eyecare and needs.
